“TAKE YOUR DOG TO WORK DAY” (TYDTWD) is a holiday aimed at highlighting the importance of pet adoption and the value of having a four-legged pal in your life.KONCEPT EVENTS celebrated TYDTWD last year and had so much fun that we decided to participate again!
All KE employee’s four-legged friends were invited weeks in advance to come to the office on Friday, June 26th; and spend the day. To avoid any unhappy puppy pals or challenges on the day of the holiday, owners were asked to pre-sign-up with the office “Social Committee” who organized the holiday participation. The office was thoroughly cleaned the day before and any questionable hazardous materials were placed up high and tucked away so puppies could roam the office freely and safely. Each dog was slowly introduced into the office environment and socialized with the other pups upon arrival. Additionally, every dog was allowed to bring their own comforting bed or object, such as a water bowl, that might make them at ease throughout their visit.

KE has always been a dog-friendly office environment and traditionally allows one dog in the office per day. Employees take turns requesting days to bring their dogs. Studies frequently show that dog friendly office environments support healthy mental attitudes in workers. AS EVENT PROFESSIONALS, OUR JOBS ARE COMMONLY RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE MOST STRESSFUL CAREERS OUT THERE. Therefore, it has always been important to the Partners at KE that they find positive ways to support their employees finding balance and ways of lowering their stress levels.

KE promoted national TYDTWD in advance of the holiday through social media and also donated to the HUMANE SOCIETY OF BROWARD by purchasing adorable dog lollipops that were custom branded and given out to b2b partners to encourage others to support pet adoption in their own communities.
KE brought dog lollipops that benefited the Human Society of Broward for TYDTWD.
All in all, TYDTWD was a major success and the entire KE team loved sharing their work day with some friendly helping paws. With this many smiles in a busy office day, KE encourages you to incorporate this simple but effective corporate socially responsible (CSR) element into your own business structure and join us next year for TYDTWD! Your two-legged employees and four-legged friends will thank you.
