One of the most popular dining requests made by corporate clients today are sustainable or farm-to-table options. A spotlight is shining on local sourcing and protecting and preserving natural resources. As an organization that emphasizes shopping local, going green and giving clients the most memorably authentic experience each South Florida city has to offer…this movement has been a natural and intuitive service for KE to provide. In honor of Earth Day 2015, this is KE’s hit list for the most mother nature friendly dining options that you can’t miss on your next South Florida visit!
THE BLUE: This fine dining restaurant is nestled in one of KE’s favorite hotel resort properties; BOCA RATON RESORT & CLUB. This Waldorf Astoria property is famous for its attention to detail and service. The Blue dining experience is a true testament to that reputation; providing New American cuisine that focuses on locally sourced ingredients and organic food options. Featuring local seafood options as a highlight, Executive Chef Christie Tenaud’s menu is both sophisticated and innovative.
MARKET 17: This Fort Lauderdale gem is in close proximity to the GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE CONVENTION CENTER. Known for both its farm-to-table cocktail and culinary elements, this restaurant also serves up one of the most innovative dining experiences around – “dining in the dark.” Taking in to account prior to the meal guest’s allergies or food preferences, diners are then led into a specialty dark room for a blind tasting menu. The menu is custom created by innovative Chef Lauren DeShields. Diners receive assistance from servers as the room is entirely dark. This unique experience allows guests to utilize as many of their senses, not involving site, while they partake in this adventurous meal.
